The museum was planned by Japan's top animation director, Hayao Miyazaki, famous for "Sprited Away", "Princess Mononoke" and "My Neighbor Totoro." You can see Totoro's Cat Bus, a process of making animation films and an original short film which can be seen only in the museum theater. The building is like a maze. "Let's Lose Our Way, Together." is the concept of the museum.
